The french riviera is full of ultra-popular and lovable cities and villages. Arriving to the region without visiting places like Nice, Cannes, Monaco it wouldn’t be the same.
But what if you want to spice things up with extra places few know of to your trip?
This is where your trip could change from an ordinary selfie-by-the-fountain to something extraordinary.
Here are a few places you should bring into account!
St. Laurent du Var
Only minutes away from Nice (2 stops from “Nice Ville” train station) there is this small town called Saint Laurent du Var. This place is good for a calm walk by the beach towards the port, or to have a shopping spree in the renovated Cap 3000.
Cap d’Ail

Theoule sur mer
If you are into a unique scenery that is different from the rest of the region – this is the place.
The red rocks surrounding the area is what makes it so special, joining the stunning roads by the sea, that lead to St. Raphael.
Sainte-Marguerite/Sauin Honorat Islands
A special part of Cannes are the small islands facing the shore.
The bigger one is called Île Sainte-Marguerite. The legend indicates it once there was mystery prisoner in the jail inside the fortress on the northern side of the island.
Unlike its bigger brother, Île Saint-Honorat, the island next to the aforementioned is still populated – but exclusively with monks.
Col de Turini
Luckily, our region is a part of the french alps, that are close by.
This is one of the famous peaks of the region – but one of the least touristic ones.
If you have a car and a day to trip, consider this special area known mostly to locals.

Vallauris/Golfe Juan
This picturesque village features one of the single sandy beaches in the region. You have the choice here of visiting both the upper village and the beach in the same day, since they are close to each other.
Cap d’Antibes
The less known part of Antibes might be the most interesting to some.
This dreamy peninsula is the playground of the world’s elite.
Numerous billionaires have a villa or two here, and the scenery is calm and picturesque.
Access here would be by car, and the main attraction to visit is Bay de Milliardaires.
