Monte-Carlo Bay: more than just a resort

When staying in Monaco, feeling like a prince is not slogan – it is a way of life

There are so many choices when it comes to hospitality in the riviera – especially in Monaco, where it seems like in every corner there are endless opportunities.

Hotels here are massive and some are full of heritage as their age may suggest.
This time, we chose the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort to make sure we get the full experience by the sea.

The resort was founded in 2006 in the Larvotto area, bordering France from the east.
It has 332 rooms (from which 22 suits), a casino, nightclub, 10 conference rooms, private parking, spa & pool and 4 restaurants – from which one is a Michelin-starred.

Feels like a 5 star to me

When entering the hotel, it is hard to believe that it ranked as 4-stars: there is a top-of-the-line concierge service, marble is everywhere and the whole attitude is certainly on the highest level. The upside, of course, is that prices are relatively reasonable

Probably the best leisure pool in the region

After choosing an upgraded room, we were impressed by the design and the variety of amenities – except from the lack of a refrigerator.
Quickly enough we went down to the amazing spa area for a couple massage, which was SO good.

Later on we visited what seems to be the most impressive part of the resort: the giant pool area.
The pool is divided into 2 parts: exterior and interior that shares the same worm water. There is also a jacuzzi inside for the hot water lovers.

There is also a sandy lagoon open from 2/5-29/9 each year and it has sandy floor that is giving the ultimate chill while standing in the exterior part of the pool.

The sandy lagoon. It will make you forget about the beach

Being tired of resting too much we went on and had a late night drink at the Blue Gin – a bar & club with a sea view and good vibes. The cocktails were creative and special

Waking up in heaven

We are not easy to satisfy us, but in this place it was a piece of cake. The rising sun on the giant mountains surrounding principality is a good enough reason to be up early.
Another reason was the superb buffet that waited for us downstairs.

Breakfast on the terrace. Food and nature are best friends around here

There was food for every type of person, with vegan section, meat, pork various french cheeses, cereals, pastries, drinks and all you can imagine.

Not only the food was exquisite in quality, it was on the background of the Mediterranean Sea – which enhanced the experience even more.
Unsurprisingly, we ate so much that we skipped lunch. It was really that good.

After two days of repeating these habits, it was time to check out and say à bientôt.
Vacations like these are one of a kind, and left us yearning for more.
