Discover the most expensive beach of the french riviera

Sometimes, pleasure comes with a cost. Luckily, in Passable beach you have a choice.

Life are pretty good (and accordingly expensive) in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, the riviera’s most exclusive peninsula.
Quality of living is impeccable, crime almost doesn’t exist, and the neighbors are often celebrities hanging out in their multi million Euros mansions.

When temperatures go up, they have to head to the nearest beach. The options are numerous, but there is a hidden one that stands out – the Passable.

Does 250€ for a tanning bed sound expensive to you?

This is a marvelous corner is visible only from Cap de Nice and very little know about it.
It is located in the northwest side of the main peninsula, past the tourism office.

By the public section of the beach, there’s a beach club that lets you know what is the type of people bath their simply by the tariff of a tanning bed for a day: 250€.
Other than offering beds for visitors, the beach club also provides boat services, nautical sports and massages.

The legendary To Catch a Theif filmed a scene right here

Looking west on Cap de Nice, this beach feels special thanks to its proximity to some stunning villas and its romantic sunsets. Due to its niche location, it is not so busy even during summer.
In the iconic movie “To Catch a Thief” there is even a scene what was filmed there.

Access may not be easy, but we still recommend to make the effort. A good idea will be to tie it with the visit of the Rothschild mansion, which is situated minutes away.
If you plan on arriving with a car, parking is available at the mansion and by the beach.
