Monaco’s secrets are numerous. Baires Argentinian meat restaurant is one you should definitely know about
Monaco is often a synonym to luxury, pricey shops and restaurants, and practically everything consumable.
When it comes to eating meat, the options could be very expensive as well.
Happily, there is one place that makes the best beef from Argentina, and the good news are it is affordable.
Time to prepare your appetite to Baires – the meat restaurant known to few.
Located in a niche street in Monaco, this restaurant is a true time machine. It is managed by Carlos, the owner and cook, an Argentinian resident of Monaco who knows the art of cooking meat down to his bones.
The products here are 100% Argentinian: the wine, liqueurs and of cours – the meat.
Filet, Chorizo, Picanha, Entrecote, Asado are just a small portion of the menu.
Taste-wise, this is undoubtedly the most delicious, soft and juicy pieces of meat you can have in the region – regardless the price.
Even the taste of parts like the Filet, which is normally more subtle in taste, is very aromatic and present.
Generosity is a way of life here, as we had the luck of having a 950g piece of beef (40€) in our plates (for each person).
Besides the great food, you will find here a nice selection of wine and liqueurs from Argentina. The desserts are also home made and our favorite one is the Dolce de Leche, that will close your day with a smile.
The absolute upside to this is the pricing which is unheard-of in comparison to the competition in the principality. The range of the main corses is 25-36€, whereas salades and first dishes are around half the price.
