Did you know about the Monaco zoo?

Traveling alone, with a friend or with kids, the Monaco zoo is a fantastic attraction many do not know of.

Monaco is best known for its wealth, racing, luxury and high-society lifestyle – but is is certainly not ending there.

The principality is also obsessed with nature and preserving it.
Among the various gardens found within its borders, one is the zoological garden, situated right under the prince’s palace.

This steep park is home to more than 250 animals from 50 different species – all brought rather than bought.
All the animals where either found abandoned, seized or donated to the princely government.

Visiting this special zoo you will find exotic birds, reptiles, crocodiles, turtles and farm animals that will walk in the garden’s area.
Located on a drop facing west, the zoo is facing the beautiful view of the Fontvieille marina.

The zoo is opened each day of the week from 9-12pm, then 2-7pm.
Tarifs are 5 € for adults, 2.50 € for children (6-14) and free under 6 year olds.
